Using Platecut
These terms govern the use of Platecut, provided by UMS Apps. You may use the service for personal or business projects in accordance with these terms and applicable law. For questions, contact:
Provided “as is”
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Platecut and its output are provided “as is” and “as available”, without express or implied warranties, including accuracy, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, secure or error-free operation, or an optimal cutting layout.
Check before cutting
Platecut is a layout aid. Verify all dimensions, units, quantities, clearances, material properties and exported geometry before fabrication. Account separately for kerf, tooling, machine limits, lead-ins and a safe cutting sequence.
A DXF export is geometry for further checking in a suitable CAD/CAM workflow. It is not machine-specific cutting instructions or a safety certification.
Your content and backups
You retain your rights in your designs and files. You are responsible for having permission to use imported content and for keeping your own backups. UMS Apps does not acquire ownership of your designs by providing the service.
The workspace is not automatically saved. Save a configuration file if you want to restore it later.
Responsible use
Do not use Platecut unlawfully, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorised access or use it to infringe another person's rights. Rights in the Platecut name, interface and software remain with UMS Apps or their respective owners.
Liability and mandatory rights
To the extent permitted by applicable law, UMS Apps is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from using the service or its output, including lost profits, lost data, wasted material or production delays.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Availability and updates
We may update or discontinue free features. Changes to these terms will be published here with an updated date and apply prospectively, subject to applicable law. Keep a copy of the terms relevant to your use.
