Who provides Platecut
Platecut is provided by UMS Apps. For privacy questions or requests, contact:
Your designs and files
Shapes, dimensions, layouts and imported DXF or configuration files are processed in your browser. The app does not upload their contents to UMS Apps. Exported DXF and configuration files are downloaded to your device.
The current workspace stays in memory and is not automatically saved. Reloading or closing the page can discard it. Keep your own original files and download a configuration file to retain your work.
Browser storage and cookies
Platecut stores your language preference on this device using local storage under the key platecut-language. It remains until you change the preference or clear the site data in your browser.
The app does not require an account and currently sets no advertising or analytics cookies.
Website connections and fonts
Accessing the website shares technical connection information, such as your IP address, browser information and requested pages, with the hosting infrastructure. This information may be processed to deliver the website, maintain its operation and protect it against abuse.
Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. Your browser connects to Google to request them, sharing your IP address and request information. For information about Google's processing, see:
Google Privacy PolicyEmail, purposes and retention
If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include. We use it to respond to your request. Avoid sending confidential design files or unnecessary personal information.
Where the GDPR applies, our basis for necessary website delivery, security and responding to enquiries is our legitimate interest in operating and supporting Platecut. Legal obligations may also require specific records.
We retain correspondence and technical records available to us only as needed to resolve requests, operate and secure the service, handle disputes or meet legal obligations. Provider-controlled logs follow the provider's configured retention. You may contact us for details relevant to your request.
Service providers and international processing
Hosting, email and font providers may process connection data or correspondence to provide their services, including outside your country. Where required by data protection law, transfers outside the EEA must rely on an adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards. Contact us for information about relevant providers and safeguards.
Your privacy rights
Where applicable, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal data, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. If processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
To exercise your rights, email us. We may need information to verify your request. Platecut does not use your personal data to make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
Advertising and changes
This version does not load advertising or analytics scripts. If we introduce them, we will update this policy and provide any required consent choices before enabling technology that needs consent.
Changes to this policy will be published here with an updated date.
